# Deposits and Withdrawals

Dream supports onchain deposits and withdrawals through your connected wallet.

Funds deposited into your wallet are held as Cash and can be transferred into Buying Power for options trading.

### Depositing Funds

When you deposit assets into your Dream wallet, the funds are credited to your onchain Cash balance after the transaction completes.

Pending deposits should not be treated as completed until their transaction status is confirmed.

### Funding Your Buying Power

To use deposited funds for options trading, transfer the desired amount from Cash into Buying Power.

Once the transfer is completed, those funds become available for opening options positions.

### Moving Funds Back to Cash

Available Buying Power can be transferred back into Cash.

Funds committed to open options positions are separate from available Buying Power and cannot be withdrawn as ordinary wallet funds while committed to those positions.

### Withdrawing Funds

To withdraw funds onchain, first ensure the amount you want to withdraw is available in Cash.

If the funds are in Buying Power, transfer them back into Cash before initiating the withdrawal.

### Pending or Failed Transactions

Deposits and withdrawals may display a processing state before completion.

If a transaction remains unresolved or fails, check its status before submitting another transaction.

Dream also provides a Recover Failed Transactions option for supported recovery scenarios.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.dreamos.app/balances-and-wallet/deposits-and-withdrawals.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
