# Wallets and Private Keys

Dream provides non-custodial onchain wallets and supports private-key export across supported networks.

Your onchain wallet is separate from the funds and positions managed through Dream's options brokerage infrastructure.

### Private-Key Export

Exporting a private key gives you access to the associated onchain wallet through compatible external wallet software.

It does not automatically transfer funds, withdraw Buying Power, close an option, or change the status of an open position.

### Supported Networks

Dream supports private-key export for the following networks:

* Solana
* Ethereum
* Polygon
* Arbitrum
* Optimism
* Base
* Berachain
* BNB Smart Chain
* HyperEVM
* Bitcoin
* XRP Ledger
* Dogecoin
* TRON
* Cardano
* Sui
* Stellar
* Avalanche
* MegaETH
* Monad
* The Open Network (TON)

Wallet compatibility depends on whether the external wallet supports the relevant network and key format.

### Accessing Your Funds if Dream Is Unavailable

If Dream's frontend becomes unavailable, users can export their private keys and access funds held in their onchain wallets through compatible external wallet software.

However, funds committed to open options positions are held separately through institutional counterparties.

Managing or settling those positions currently depends on Dream's brokerage infrastructure.

Exporting a private key does not provide direct access to funds committed to an open options position.

### Security

Your private keys provide control over the associated wallets and should be kept secure.

* Never share a private key or seed phrase with anyone.
* Only import keys into wallet software you trust.
* Verify network compatibility before importing a key.
* Never enter private keys into untrusted websites or forms.
* Dream representatives will never need your private keys to provide support.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.dreamos.app/balances-and-wallet/wallets-and-private-keys.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
